Stain Options
Customise your furniture with our range of different finishes for both solid oak and rustic pine, please see our different options below.
Rustic Pine
Rustic Pine is a natural material; it is full of character and charm. Each plank is unique and may have knots and age-related cracks which we fill with a resin based wood filler to compliment your table top.
We plane and join the planks together to create a smooth solid top. As standard, the pine boards are 45-50 mm thick.
Please allow for a 5mm tolerance on all measurements.
Please note, we can’t apply our pine finishes to oak or our oak finishes to pine.
Stain sample images can appear differently on screens so we do recommend purchasing a sample so you can see the finish in real life. You can also visit our Sheffield Showroom to view our finishes in person.

Rustic Pine Stains
Pine is a softwood. This means it is more prone to scratches and dents than oak, which is a hardwood. Pine is also a naturally warm toned wood. Over time the colour will darken and mellow, especially if kept in direct sunlight.

Rustic Pine Waxes
Our wax finishes are suitable for furniture such as shelving, sideboards, consoles, coffee tables and desks.
We don’t recommend choosing a wax finish for dining tabletops. Heat from hot dishes can melt the wax and leave ring marks. Waxed tabletops can therefore require more maintenance.

Solid Oak
Solid oak is a natural material; it is full of character and charm. Each plank is unique and may have knots and age-related cracks which we fill with a resin based filler to compliment your oak top where needed.
We plane and join the planks together to create a smooth solid top. As standard, the oak boards are 30-35mm thick.
Please allow for a 5mm tolerance on all measurements.

Solid Oak Finishes
Oak is a durable hardwood, offering greater resistance to scratches and dents than softwoods like pine. Its naturally warm tone darkens and mellows over time, especially with direct sunlight exposure.
